This particular example was fully restored by a prominent Michigan Ford restoration expert approximately 23 years ago. The body and frame were fully disassembled and properly painted or powder coated respectively, then reassembled with all new stainless steel mounting hardware and new wiring harness. The engine was overhauled to include a valve job, Brumfield 5.9:1 high compression head, all new insert bearings, pistons & rings, gaskets; Float-a-Motor engine mounts, Leakless ball bearing water pump, rebuilt Zenith carburetor with sediment bowl filter, new distributor & heat shield, 12-volt alternator conversion, 4-blade cooling fan, heavy-duty radiator, engine oil filtration system, Air Maze air filter, modern Bendix starter, and complete stainless steel exhaust system.
The brakes are all brand new with a hydraulic system upgrade, as is the entire suspension system with rebuilt steering system including shorted pitman arm, new grease fittings and bushings throughout! The transmission was completely overhauled with new internal components, new clutch & pressure plate, and resurfaced flywheel. The rear differential was treated exactly the same with a full overhaul with new ring & pinion, all applicable bearings, hub seals & gaskets, and fresh installation hardware, driveshaft universal joints, torque tube gaskets, etc. The engine has traveled only 2,600 miles since completion and continues to run wonderfully! The all-new Brown leather interior, vinyl covered rear rumble seat, seat cushions, convertible top and side curtains/door irons were all supplied from LeBaron Bonney and continue to appear as new! The column-mounted auxiliary gauges read oil PSI and water temperature making for a great touring accessory!
It was finished professionally with new stainless steel bumpers front & rear, radiator shroud, door handles, hubcaps, any applicable mounting hardware, engine support rods & hood prop set! The finished result makes for a highly decorated and very drivable example! Ready for parades, outings across town, or confident weekend touring! It has been parked indoors, serviced as needed, and is now ready to be pasted on to a new owner. You will be impressed with this Model A no doubt! It will come with many restoration photos, parts documentation, and workshop manuals. Please take a look at the pictures and feel free to call with any questions or to schedule an inspection to see it in person! A great Ford investment that we are sure will not last long!
