Gorgeous Corvette Coupe with NCRS Top Flight honors! Number's matching 327ci/300hp V8, Automatic, power steering & brakes, power antenna, knock-off aluminum wheels, rebuilt engine and transmission, and more! Complete with owner's manual, window sticker, records back to 1966 including original copy of dealer MSO! Great find!
Corvette will forever be America's oldest official sports car with a bold tradition of building a 2-seat, performance oriented vehicle for the past 66 years! Through the good years, and arguably bad ones, there is a Corvette to catch the attention of almost any enthusiast. The C2 Generation is wildly considered among the most desired for classic car collectors the world over. These comprise of the years from 1963 to 1967. With their beautifully sculpted body lines and improvements with independent suspensions, 4-wheel disc brakes, and various engine options, it's easy to see why they consistently find values increasing year after year! Not surprisingly, convertibles always outnumbered the coupes by nearly 2 to 1 ever year making the coupes highly desirable and rarer to find on the open market. Especially since the coupes are more likely to have factory air conditioning!
We are very excited to offer this 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe finished in popular Nassau Blue (976) over very desirable Bright Blue Vinyl (414) interior! This nicely optioned example comes with its factory appointed, numbers matching HO-code 327ci/300hp V8 engine, Powerglide automatic transmission, and Posi-Traction 3.36:1 rear axle ratio. Additional factory features include air conditioning, power steering, power 4-wheel disc brakes, all Soft-Ray tinted glass, Delco AM/FM radio with factory power antenna, windshield washer system, carpeted floor mats, and glove box lamp. This example was later fitted with new cast aluminum knock-off wheels wrapped with BF Goodrich Silvertown Goldline Radial tires.
This extremely sharp Corvette was restored in frame-up fashion with only 15,000 miles on rebuilt engine and transmission. It continues to possess a solid, no-hit body with all factory bonding strips in place with very good fitment and gaps on the headlight buckets and doors! All original LOF Soft-Ray glass remains in place. Inside, no modifications are present, and all features are in full working order. This includes factory radio & power antenna, electric clock, all dash instrumentation, air conditioning, headlight motors, dash & courtesy lights, and all safety items.
Built in December 1965, it retains much of its correct drivetrain components:
• Block VIN stamp: 6108253
• Block date stamp: F1130HO (November 30th, 1965 - 300hp/Powerglide combination)
• Holley Carburetor: List-3367/ 582 (August 1965- 2nd week)
• Distributor: 1111076
• Alternator: 1100750/5L23 (December 23rd, 1965)
• Harrison Radiator and Overflow Tank- both bear 1965 stampings
• Rear axle code: AM 12 8 65 (December 8th, 1965- 3.36 Posi ratio)
Accompanying this car will be a reproduction window sticker, documented ownership history, an owner's manual, copy of original dealer MSO, copies of ownership titles, photos of repaint, NCRS inspection sheets, Top Flight Ribbon, spare tire tub lock & key, and all tire changing equipment. We would be happy to discuss this 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe for sale over the phone, or schedule a viewing appointment to any interested collector.
