Very well sorted street rod pickup with all the modern creature comforts you want! Upgraded 350ci V8/TH350 automatic, air conditioning, 4-wheel power disc brakes, rack & pinion steering, power windows, tinted glass, contoured front seat, and so much more! Excellent street truck!
Ford has always had a strong stake in utilitarian transport vehicle segment, with their variety of truck options recognized the world over. By 1935, after the full integration of the V8 engine into every car and truck they offered, Ford continued to dominate the competition with both style, functionality, comfort, and price! The Model 51 pickup offered in 1935 was a unique, one-year only design. If featured side hood panels with 15 louvers and Ford V8 badge highlighted directly in the center, and vertical grill slats with only two horizontal supports. They are quite attractive, and difficult to find today in any form!
We are excited to offer this customized 1935 Ford Model 51 Pickup finished in Midnight Blue Metallic and Bright Silver Metallic! It retains its all original factory steel body, fenders, running boards, and bed without any major modification! Underneath though, it now houses some modern creature comforts to spoil the next owner! Power comes from a crate 350ci V8 fitted with an Edelbrock Performer Air Gap aluminum intake & 500cfm Edelbrock carburetor with electric choke; MSD Pro-Billet distributor, Street Fire Wires & Blaster 2 coil; chrome alternator & high-torque starter; Edelbrock aluminum water pump, billet overflow tank; twin Flex-A-Lite electric cooling fans; Hedman Tight Tubes headers, fully welded exhaust system with Dynamax mufflers; billet drive pulleys with serpentine belt system; billet aluminum valve covers & spark plug wire looms, chrome air cleaner, and much more!
Looking inside, you will see the custom touches continue with a special contoured bench seat finished in an Ostrich textured beige vinyl accented with silver on the lower seat, armrests, door pockets, and shifter surround! Additional features include Lokar floor-shifted Turbo-Hydramatic 3-speed transmission with auxiliary cooler, Vintage Air Gen II climate control system with defrost, VDO instrumentation, SunPro tachometer, tilt column with 4-spoke steering wheel, power windows, all tinted laminated glass, Sony AM/FM/Aux audio system with 4 cabin speakers, electric wipers, 3-point safety belts, dual outside mirrors, and polished 15” Weld Racing wheels with BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires measuring 215/60 up front and 245/60 at the rear. The rear cargo bed is also dressed to impress with fully finished oak wood slats with polished anchoring strips, and a matching blue Haartz Stayfast canvass bed cover with oak support bows!
What really sets this truck apart is the special attention to use the original chassis. Being form fitted to the shape of the original body, it made sense to add rigidity by boxing the rails and adding tubular cross members for additional support. The original front suspension was traded for a Heidt's Mustang II independent system utilizing chromed upper & lower control arms, Flaming River rack & pinion steering, Aldan adjustable coil-over shocks, sway bar, and power-assisted disc brakes. The rear consists of a 12-bolt axle with disc brakes, QA1 adjustable coil-over shocks, 3.31 gearing, Chassis Engineering ladder bars and upper axle panhard bar. A new polyethylene gas tank was fitted, stainless steel fuel lines, brained stainless hoses, and Edelbrock fuel filter. You would be tested to find a better built street rod truck for the money! Please call with questions or to arrange a viewing appointment.
