Hard to find color combination on this very original, number's matching Big Block Corvette! This two owner Stingray comes with just 42,919 original miles! The last year for chrome bumpers and loaded with options to include air conditioning, power brakes, power steering, removable T-Tops, and more!
Chevrolet was coming out of short production year for 1971 and found eager customers ready to make way for showrooms in 1972. It would mark the final year of the desired chrome bumpers front and rear, concealed wipers under a vacuum operated door, and the exit of traditional SAE Gross horsepower, but now SAE Net ratings determined after things like the air cleaner, transmission, and rear axle loads are factored in. Horsepower was identical to 1971, although printed output was significantly lower.
This third generation 1972 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Coupe is finished in factory code Sunflower Yellow over factory Black Vinyl interior and is an exceptional representation of what is quickly becoming one of the most rapidly appreciating segments in the Corvette collector car market. Featuring desirable options that include number matching 454ci-4bbl V8 engine, automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, factory air conditioning, tilt-telescopic steering wheel, Soft-Ray Astro-ventilation windows glass, original full wheel covers, white letter tires, Corvette rubber floor mats, 3.08 posi-traction rear axle ratio, Delco AM/FM radio, and chrome valve covers & air cleaner lid.
This April 1972 production Coupe is a well optioned and superbly drivable car! Having only two owners from new, this example hails from Lowell, FL with only 42,919 actual miles! It retains a no-hit, factory body showcasing one older repaint completed in the early 1990's. Freshly serviced in February 2018 to include new mechanical fuel pump, brand new brass radiator with hoses & clamps; completely rebuilt air conditioning system to include new compressor, receiver drier, expansion valve with modern POA update & conversion to R134a; new spark plugs, cap, rotor, & points; new valve cover gaskets; all drive belts; new transmission output shaft seal, pan gasket, & filter; new exhaust manifold gaskets; new T3 headlamps, along with all new engine fluids.
It is ready for the next owner to enjoy and show! It comes very nicely detailed throughout and retains all original storage compartment stickers, factory tire changing equipment including the spare tire, as well as its original factory-issue all number's matching drivetrain. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions about the car or to discuss worldwide shipping options.
