Very nicely appointed Model T Touring with Hassler Shock Absorbers, Ruckstell rear axle, aluminum spoke wheels, and 12-voltconversion!Itstarts and runs with tremendous ease! A perfect candidate for a driverenthusiast needing an early Ford to compliment their collection! Great piece!Henry Ford continued to produce Americas affordable Model T at a rapid pace into the 1920s, averaging over 1 million units each year! The simplicity of the design, along with nine model choices to choose from, made Ford an easy choice for budget conscience buyers. They consisted of an inline four cylinder 177ci L-head engine producing an estimated 20 horsepower, two-speed planetary transmission, solid front axle with transverse semi-elliptic leaf spring, live rear axle with transverse semi-elliptic leaf spring on a 100 wheelbase, and two-wheel mechanical drum brakes. We are pleased to present this 1923 Ford Model T Touring finished in professionally applied Gloss Black and new matching black folding top and interior seating upholstery. This example is still utilizing its original, and fully rebuilt June 1922 date-code engine (serial #6105794) and transmission fully rebuilt with Kevlar bands. Completing the car is a rear mounted spare, winged Ford Motometer, Firestone 30x3.5 gum-dipped whitewall tires, three rocker panel entrance step plates, Stewart press horn, dual kerosene cowl lamps, running board tool box, wood steering wheel, rubber floor mats, and more! Our example was located in Nashville in 2015 from the former owner of 9 years. It was professionally restored prior to his ownership and continues to rival fresh restorations today! Separating this example from all others is the addition of Hassler chassis shock absorbers on both front & rear axles improving the ride, and extending the life of the tires and suspension components, along with 12-spoke aluminum wheels, a Ruckstell rear axle to extend the gear ratio improving top speed and travel distance! Further improvements to this example include being fully rewired with a complete 12-volt positive ground & alternator conversion. This provides much stronger starting power, elimination of the magneto, brighter lights, and an addition of an under floor battery cut-off for periods of storage. This very attractive Model T starts, runs, & drives extremely well, and true to form is an enjoyable early Ford for both novice and seasoned collectors alike. The chassis is exceptionally clean and attractive underneath. Transmission engagement is smooth with chatter, and the engine revs and responds perfectly! You will find Ford stamp impressions and casted components throughout including correct Ford headlight lenses. Relatively easy to drive, simple to maintain, and very robust, there is perhaps no more historically significant car to own. It is sure to inject a bit of fun into any collection! Please feel free to call with additional questions or to schedule a chance to see this Model T in person. We look forward to working with you!
