Rolls Royce has always been one of the most famous names in engineering throughout the world with their V8 engine having one of the longest production runs in history. In the early 1900s the partnership of Henry Royce and Charles Rolls began designing and producing quality automobiles. Enjoying early success with their fine crafted vehicles, they also designed aero engines that were used in many planes fighting in the first two world wars. The reputation for Rolls Royce has always been one of quality and luxury with their famous double “R” logo above their iconic grills.
Rolls Royce began its new generation of models by producing the Silver Spirit and a longer wheelbase version named the Silver Spur in 1980. With great strides in innovation such as self-leveling and automatic ride control suspension systems, Rolls Royce also delivered features like dual air bags, fuel injection and ABS brakes as standard for all models. The final revision of the Silver Spirit and Spur were produced from 1995 to 1999 with mostly cosmetic changes being done including front and rear bumpers and the addition of 16” wheels.
We are excited to offer this 1996 Rolls Royce Silver Spur finished in beautiful Magnolia White paint and Sandstone leather interior with soft tan binding and Sahara tan carpet. Powering this RWD luxury car is its well-known 6.75 Liter V8 engine with a 4-speed automatic transmission. With many desired options this Silver Spur is equipped with air conditioning, power steering, front and rear ABS disc brakes, 16” alloy wheels with chrome Rolls Royce hubcaps wrapped in Michelin Defender tires measuring 235/65R17, an anti-theft device, power locks and windows, power adjustable front and rear seats, veneered wood door panels and rear tray tables, opening rear seat armrest, rear duchess straps, rear cigarette lighters and ashtrays.
The vehicle comes with a Rolls Royce certificate of origin along with information, service repair receipts, clean Carfax report, owner's manual, and a service handbook. Over the last two years the previous owner has replaced the battery, starter, coolant expansion tank and connected hoses, rear gas spheres, rebuilt brake pressure switch, replaced left and right sway arms, auto-leveling valve and hoses, airbag module, and completed regular oil changes.
This Rolls Royce has 95,052 miles on the odometer and is in great shape to continue cruising the roads in style and comfort. Being one of the last model years for the Silver Spur, this is 1 example of only 250 produced for 1996 and it's a car worthy of the sculptured ornament adorning its hood known as the Spirit of Ecstasy.
